Hosting, DNS, and security

This website is served via Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare DNS. In the process, technical access data such as IP address, timestamp, requested resource, HTTP status, and browser and connection data may be processed.

The purpose is the secure delivery of the website, protection against attacks, stability, and error analysis. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Films on this website – the product films on the product pages, the three tutorial films on the “KI-Starter” guide page and the films on the FENNEC page – are loaded from separate Cloudflare Pages addresses (dargel-product-media.pages.dev and dargel-fennec-media.pages.dev), and only once you start a film. Until then the page loads only the still image from this domain. During playback, Cloudflare processes the same technical access data described above; no cookies are set and your viewing behaviour is not analysed.

The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., based in the USA; personal data may therefore be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; Standard Contractual Clauses and a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are also in place.

Contact by email

When you contact Dargel Solutions by email, the information you provide is processed to handle your inquiry and any follow-up questions. Depending on your matter, please use kontakt@dargel-solutions.de, legal@dargel-solutions.de, or support@dargel-solutions.de.

For sending and receiving email for this domain, we use an external email service provider with servers in the USA. Personal data (in particular email addresses and message content) may be transferred to and processed in the USA. The USA is classified as a third country under data protection law where a level of protection fully equivalent to European standards cannot be guaranteed in every case; in particular, access by US authorities cannot be entirely excluded. Transmission and storage are encrypted.

Emails for the “KI-Starter” guide (delivery and product information) do not go through this provider but through Lettermint; see “Guide ‘KI-Starter’ and product information by email” below.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry relates to pre-contractual or contractual communication, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where data is transferred to the email service provider in the USA, the transfer is based on Art. 49(1) GDPR (necessity for communication initiated by you).

Contact form

The local contact form on this website opens the inquirer's email client and does not transmit any content to a form service provider. Processing by Dargel Solutions only occurs once the prepared email is actually sent.

Contacting us by phone

Calls to +49 15679 077516 are answered by an AI-assisted system. You are therefore not speaking to a human being. We inform you of this pursuant to Article 50(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act). At the start of every call, an announcement states that an AI assistant is answering the call, that the conversation is transcribed into text, and that no audio recording is stored.

Provider. The phone number and the associated application are provided by sipgate GmbH, Gladbacher Str. 74, 40219 Düsseldorf, Germany (service "satellite"). In this respect the company acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR, because the automated processing accesses the content of the call and not merely connection data. A data processing agreement is in place; the subject matter of that agreement is the processing of data on servers within the European Union. The machine transcription of the call is carried out by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, as a sub-processor. The data centres are operated by Myloc managed IT AG, Düsseldorf, and Interxion Deutschland GmbH, Frankfurt am Main; telecommunications inputs are supplied by argon networks UG (haftungsbeschränkt), netzquadrat GmbH and sipgate Wireless GmbH, all of Düsseldorf; the provider's own customer service is supported by impacx services GmbH, Kleve.

What is processed. Your phone number, the time and duration of the call, and the substance of your request including whatever you choose to tell us. The call is transcribed into text by machine, and a call note is created from it, without an automated AI summary. According to the provider, the audio is only buffered temporarily for this purpose and is deleted immediately after the text has been created; your call is not permanently recorded.

Purposes. Being reachable by phone, receiving and recording your request, and getting back to you by email or by calling you back.

Legal basis. Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your call concerns a contract with us or its initiation; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in being reachable by phone and in recording requests reliably. Publishing a phone number is also a statutory obligation for us (Art. 246a § 1(1) sentence 1 no. 3 EGBGB).

Retention and deletion. The call note and your phone number are deleted once your request has been dealt with, at the latest after 90 days, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Where the call concerns a contract, a withdrawal, or a tax record, the longer statutory retention periods apply; processing is then restricted rather than the data deleted (Art. 17(3), Art. 18 GDPR).

Third countries. The recipient is a company established in Germany; no transfer to a third country is made by us. The subject matter of the data processing agreement is the processing of data on servers within the European Union; the provider may only process data outside the European Union and the European Economic Area if the user has expressly consented to this. According to the "sub-processors" annex to the data processing agreement, the machine transcription of the call is carried out by Google Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland). For an extended automatic call summary, the agreement additionally lists OpenAI OpCo LLC (USA) as a sub-processor. That extension is not activated in our account settings, so no data is transferred to OpenAI OpCo LLC in the United States. Should we activate it in future, we will amend this notice beforehand; for sub-processors in third countries the agreement requires an adequate level of protection, for example by means of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

You never have to call. Every matter — a question, a complaint, a withdrawal — can be handled entirely in writing, by email to kontakt@dargel-solutions.de or by post. That route involves no AI processing.

Your rights. You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and, where we rely on legitimate interests, the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). We do not use your phone number for advertising and do not pass it on. Please address requests to kontakt@dargel-solutions.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

Postal contact

For postal contact, the c/o address of Online-Impressum is used. Incoming post may be digitized by that service and made available for processing. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; where the communication relates to pre-contractual or contractual matters, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Counting page views and cookies

This website performs a simple reach count: a counter is incremented for each page view. Only aggregated values per page path, per day, and per country of origin are stored. The country is provided at country level by the hosting infrastructure; the IP address itself is neither stored nor turned into an identifier.

No cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your terminal equipment; consent under Section 25 TDDDG is therefore not required. No recognition of individual visitors, no profiling, and no cross-site tracking takes place. We deliberately do not determine "unique visitors" — we only count views. The count runs in our own application on the hosting infrastructure already in use (see "Hosting, DNS and security"); no additional analytics provider is involved. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to establish which content is actually used.

For the PDF and ZIP files of the free starter pack, we also analyse the existing server-side request counts from our hosting infrastructure. Our analysis contains only aggregated requests per file and day, with no link to email addresses or individual people. Repeated requests count separately; the figures do not establish that a file was fully saved on your device.

We do not use marketing cookies; a cookie banner is not required. There is an email list only for people who request the “KI-Starter” or “AI Starter” guide (section “Guide ‘KI-Starter’ and product information by email”). If further analytics, payment paths or customer systems are activated, we will update this notice in advance.

Guide “KI-Starter” and product information by email

If you request the German guide “KI-Starter” at /wissen/ki-starter/ or the English guide “AI Starter” at /en/knowledge/ai-starter/, we process your email address and the language of your request to send you the links to the guide by email and afterwards to inform you by email, in that language, about Dargel Solutions’ own similar products. Without an email address we cannot provide the guide.

Legal bases. For sending the guide, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract for the free guide). For information about own similar products, Section 7(3) of the German Act against Unfair Competition (UWG) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is direct marketing for our own products. To prevent misuse we count requests per address and calendar day using a checksum of the address; counts for past days are deleted automatically with the next request or unsubscription (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email service provider. Lettermint B.V., Willemsvaart 16 B, 8019 AB Zwolle, the Netherlands, as processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Lettermint processes your email address and the content of each email to deliver it; according to the provider, email data stays in the EU.

Recipient list and retention. We store your email address in our database on the Cloudflare infrastructure described under “Hosting, DNS, and security” until you unsubscribe. We then delete the entry; a checksum of your address remains on a suppression list so that you receive no further advertising from us; we keep it for as long as we send marketing by email (Art. 6(1)(f) in conjunction with Art. 21(3) GDPR).

Objection (Art. 21(2) GDPR). You can object to the use of your address for advertising at any time – via the unsubscribe link in every email or informally to kontakt@dargel-solutions.de. You incur no costs other than the transmission costs at the basic rates.

AI-assisted content

Texts, images, and product artifacts may be prepared internally with AI assistance. Published content is reviewed by a human. Separate transparency notices are used for external product content wherever required for a given piece of content.

FENNEC page: embedded Bluesky posts

The page /en/fennec/ shows posts from the "fennec-ds.bsky.social" account on the Bluesky platform. These posts are fetched and served through a server operated by this website; your browser never connects to Bluesky, and none of your data is transmitted to Bluesky. The legal basis for this retrieval is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
